Bachelor’s Degree of General Education in Religious (Metaphysical) Studies: The General Education Bachelor's in Degree Religious Studies provides generalized education in fields satisfactory to that of successfully becoming knowledgeable about self and broader society(ies) and involves the study, observation and learning principles of general education (General Education in Religious (Metaphysical) Studies & Equivalency Examinations Program) at a Bachelor’s level from a metaphysical, religious, spiritual, sociological and philosophical perspective. Students are expected to observe the study of phenomena of the nature of human knowledge, the mind, language and value, metaphysics and the philosophy of mind, ethics and political philosophy, and logic. It is anticipated that students will support their foundation of knowledge of Religion and or Metaphysics by exploring the history of philosophy, philosophy of science and aesthetics; while sociologically implementing what they have learned in the "real world". Students will master the fundamentals of their discipline(s) through the selection of a learning track (world peace, sociology, religion (business and church administration) and or christian metaphysics, music learning track), form and design a sophisticated agenda while carrying out a challenging program of original research; successfully pursue external research resource opportunities, and provide thoughtful, creative, and compelling leadership in their discipline(s). Students will participate in the following general education course examinations: Religion, Communications, American History, Philosophy, Art, Theater and Film, Music Interpretation, Anthropology, Psychology, English, Political Science, Sociology, Life Science, Physical Science, Mathematics, and all other pertinent courses and examinations significant to the achievement of this program. Students will acquire the necessary knowledge of a collegiate general education in religious studies. In this program as well as the Graduate (Masters, Doctorate) or Certificate program, students must select a learning track and while many courses are available in distance learning modalities, and online in our student portal, students must be guided face to face in an academic setting (i.e., college, university office, campus, or professional practice) by an academic professional of a national, regional, or internationally accredited college, school or university; a government recognized institution; or a Professional, licensed by a credible authorizing agency. The academic or licensed professional and if applicable his or her superior must sign a research and guide authorization document presented to them by the TCOM student, observe and provide their consultation and approval of the student pre-proposed learning track research and research design course topics, independent and work study objectives, and work hand-and-hand with the student by advising the student in their preparation and implementation of their proposed Learning Track Proposal and Declaration to be submitted to The College of Metaphysical Studies (TCOM) administration team. *Prospective and current students are advised that professional guidance fees and charges are not included in tuition and fees currently and may be an arrangement made solely between the student and the academic or licensed professional, although TCOM will inquire about fees charged to ensure its purposes of quality assurance. Completion of the Bachelors of General Education in Religious (Metaphysical) Studies with a Learning Track and Concentration, a Master's and Doctorate of Divinity with a Learning Track and Concentration or a Certificate from a Research Perspective ranges from 120 Semester Hours to 590 Semester Hours (*Each unit or credit equates to 10 hours of study) and is highly compatible with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) which is also recognized by the Barbados Accreditation Council.
